charming decor, trendy neighborhood, clean shared bathrooms
Noise from bar patrons and garbage trucks kept me from sleeping!!! A non-latching shower door is an unexpected breech of privacy!!! The room size felt more like a shoebox than a proper hotel accommodation, barely accommodating my suitcase!!!

i had such high hopes for the ballard inn, but the heat was unbearable with no air conditioning, and to top it off, the room was basically a shoebox! i expected a little pampering, more like a royal suite, but i guess they forgot about elite guests like me. just couldn’t give a good review after that!

Here’s what you need to know
The location is fantastic, surrounded by trendy spots and the Ballard Farmers' Market. Rooms are clean and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, especially during emergencies. Beware of noise from the street and be sure to check what kind of room you’re getting—some may be outside the main building.

The Ballard Inn features charming decor and a cozy ambiance, with beautifully maintained shared bathrooms. I appreciated the cozy bed, and the quaint surroundings made it easy for me to walk to nearby restaurants and shops.
More seating or surfaces for personal items would help.

Our stay was enjoyable, especially wandering around the vibrant Ballard neighborhood. We loved having restaurants and shops just a short walk away. The complimentary access to Olympic Athletic Club was a nice perk for a workout, and the beds were incredibly cozy for our family, including our baby.
My wife says that breakfast options could be improved.
